About

This new Nordic Network for Jewish Studies aims to connect scholars in Jewish Studies and related fields from across the Nordic region.

Why do we need this network?

  • To share information about new and ongoing research, courses in Jewish Studies (broadly considered), and related events taking place throughout the Nordic region
  • To nurture and equip the current and next generation of scholars and communicators
  • To increase the visibility of Jewish Studies as a discipline
  • To advocate for the discipline of Jewish Studies at all levels, and raise the profile of Jewish Studies research, teaching, and public engagement in our Universities and in public life.

Membership

The Network is free to join. We welcome scholars of all career stages who are affiliated with Nordic Higher Education institutions as members. We also welcome members from beyond the academic sphere, provided they have an interest in Jewish Studies, its sub-disciplines, and/or inter-faith dialogue and are based in a Nordic country.

To become a member, please fill in our GoogleForm so we can learn a little about you, too. Don’t forget to also subscribe to our blog!
